NAIDOC WEEK 2025

This year, Community Resources is proud to celebrate the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC Week—a powerful milestone that honours half a century of elevating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, cultures, and resilience.

The 2025 theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” invites us to reflect on the enduring strength of our First Nations communities and to look forward with hope and determination as we support the young leaders shaping our collective future.

At Community Resources, we recognise the critical role that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples play in leading the way toward a more inclusive, just, and sustainable future. This year’s theme reminds us that our work is grounded not only in the strength of our Elders and the legacy of those who came before us, but also in the vision and energy of emerging generations. Across our social enterprises and community programs, we are committed to creating opportunities that honour culture, foster connection, and amplify Indigenous voices in all that we do.

As we mark this important milestone, we recommit to walking alongside our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander partners, learning from their wisdom and stories, and building a future where communities are led by their own aspirations. Together, we celebrate the movement that is NAIDOC - a movement of pride, resilience, and unity—and we look ahead to the next 50 years with strength, vision, and a shared commitment to lasting legacy.

REBECCA STONE - CULTURAL LEAD

“Over the decades, NAIDOC Week has grown into a powerful national celebration that continues to honour and elevate Indigenous voices, culture and resilience 50 years on.

“Guided by the wisdom of our Elders and the groundwork laid by our forebears, each NAIDOC Week reinforces our vision for an Australia where Indigenous voices are not only heard but lead the way.

“As we celebrate this milestone, we look toward the next 50 years of NAIDOC Week celebrations, with excitement and confidence, while ensuring that NAIDOC remains a movement grounded in community-led vision and integrity.”
